Effective Date: May 1, 2026
Objective
The policy goal is to increase transparency of sponsored content on Florida Press Releases and across the Florida Authority Network, supporting a high-authority, high disclosure digital media ecosystem.
By implementing the following:
1. Sponsored Content Disclosure Policy
2. Sponsored Content Link Policy
3. A Sponsored Content Allocation Cap of Under 30%
The network aims to enhance user trust, ensure compliance with federal regulations, and optimize for Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).
Sponsored Content Transparency & Attribution
To maintain digital integrity and comply with the latest FTC endorsement guidelines, all content must be clearly categorized to distinguish between editorial and brand-supported messaging.
- Universal Labeling: All client-driven, brand-supported, or sponsored articles must be explicitly labeled as either “Sponsored Content” or “Partner Content.”
- Placement: Labels must be clearly visible to the reader at the beginning of the content or via a standardized site-wide paragraph header for such posts.
Maximum “Two-Link” Standard
To reduce digital clutter and maximize the authority of outbound signals, the network enforces a streamlined link profile for all partner submissions.
- Maximum Link Count: Each client page or press release is limited to a maximum of two (2) outbound links.
- Link Quality: Links must be high-authority and directed toward relevant landing pages or clear calls-to-action (CTAs).
- Alignment: This standard is designed to favor focused outbound signals, which align with how AI search engines and large language models (LLMs) cite and prioritize authoritative sources.
Digital Integrity & Maintenance
- Link Profiles: The network will maintain a clean link profile by auditing outbound destinations to ensure they lead to secure, reputable, and relevant business sites.
- Domain Health: This policy serves to protect the long-term search equity and domain health of the Florida Authority Network.
Compliance and Implementation
- New Submissions: All content submitted on or after May 1, 2026, must adhere to these link and labeling standards.
- Review Process: Submissions that exceed the link limit or fail to provide proper disclosure will be returned to the client for revision to meet compliance.
Sponsored Content Allocation Cap
On this website and across the Florida Authority Network, sponsored and paid placements are capped at less than 30% of total published content. The remaining majority consists of independent editorial coverage, news, and unpaid press releases, all selected on news value alone.
We believe a healthy editorial-to-sponsored ratio is essential to maintaining the credibility our readers and contributors expect. All sponsored content on this site is clearly labeled. Readers will always be able to tell, at a glance, whether a piece of content is independent content, an unpaid press release, or a paid placement.
Sponsors and advertisers have no influence over our editorial coverage, story selection, or the treatment of any individual, company, or topic.
